A little about me
My musical education began as a child singing with my family. I have memories of singing around the dinner table- my father would start a note and the 5 of us would proceed around the table to fill in a 5 part harmony. Our road trip entertainment involved singing from the church hymnals that my dad would bring along. We always seemed to have a song in our hearts, often in praise to God.
When in college a dear friend in our church gave me a guitar after hearing I was interested in learning to play. Shorty after, I fell in love with writing music and singing songs that glorified God and brought His redeeming work in Christ and His healing word to mind. About 13 years ago, another brother in Christ helped me record and produce “What Better Things?”. Right after that I got married and began having children and put the guitar away for several years. In the past 3 years I have brought the guitar back out (thanks to the encouragement from my husband who bought me a guitar stand and placed it in the middle of the living room).
In these busy years of my life with 3 young children and hosting some of the local church in our home on Sundays, I keep working to find time to write and sing, record and release music knowing that it is for a wonderful purpose. God’s Word heals hearts, encourages the soul and brings peace to the mind– I know I’ll always have a song in my heart, what better things are there to sing about than Jesus Christ?
